We were delighted to see the arrival of the Iridium 9575 Extreme and took on the challenge of designing and manufacturing a docking station that was worthy of the handset. We knew we had first to match the ruggedness of the 9575 phone. Our immediate focus was on the critical interconnection between the phone and our docking station. Deployed in vehicles, we knew the 9575 would subject to challenging shock and vibration. Based upon this, we took a departure and made the right decision to “float” the connection by using a cable that moves not with the docking station, but the 9575 phone, thus enhancing reliability.

Using the exterior rubber-like gripping of the phone in conjunction with critical tolerances of our docking station to secure the handset snugly against the environment of vibration and shock resistance. For additional security, we added the ASE rotating lock mechanism found in our other Docking Stations.

We then turned our attention to making the docking stations as thin compact and low-profile as possible. The Iridium 9575 Docking station, like our other offerings, offers highly visible and intelligent LED indicators. The capabilities are extended with POTS connection to extend the Iridium network into your corporate structure.

Variations of speaking/listening are the use of a Palm-Microphone (“Fist-Mic,” “Palm-Mic” or “Potato-Mic”), Intelligent handset or remote speaker with this simple, yet powerful docking station. Applications are in-vehicle, in-building, or anywhere “Grab and Go” is needed.

The Docking Station comes with various mounting methods—A Desktop Mount for Corporate environments. A Ram-mount for vehicle mounting or no mount when used with our BagDock.

(Our BagDock is unique in that we also integrate a battery inside the docking station that both powers our electronics and extend the life of the Iridium 9575 as well.)

ASE Docking stations are no-to-low maintenance. We have lowered the overall cost (lowest price doesn’t always equal lowest cost!) of installation by eliminating the need to upgrade firmware before installation, (or even more frustrating during installation) or the constant treadmill of constant updates over the life of the solution. While we cannot predict the future, based upon our history, we feel quite confident that our equipment will be as stable as reliable as always.

The ASE Docking Stations provide the perfect balance of ease-of-use as well as offering complete access to the 9575 ports and controls. For the Iridium 9575 Extreme Phone/Handset–This is the docking station (in our humble opinion) that outperforms all the rest.
